LED Video Wall Dimensions: Complete Sizing Guide
Every standard LED video wall size we stock — from 116″ entry-level up to 360″ flagship — with diagonal, width × height, and the viewing distance each size is built for. Verified from 119 bundles in our US inventory.
How LED video wall dimensions work
Unlike a TV (sold in fixed diagonal sizes like 65″ or 75″), an LED video wall is built from modular panels. The final dimensions depend on three variables: the panel size, how many panels you tile horizontally and vertically, and the pixel pitch. Our bundles ship in standard configurations from 116″ diagonal up to 360″ — and any size in between is buildable as a custom configuration.
Diagonal vs width × height
Diagonal (e.g. "220″ wall") is the marketing measurement — easy to compare to a TV. But for installation planning, you need width × height. A 16:9 wall at 220″ diagonal is roughly 192″ wide × 108″ high (16 ft × 9 ft). Our bundles below show both.
Why viewing distance matters as much as size
A 220″ wall at 4mm pitch looks crystal-clear from 20 ft away but pixelated from 5 ft. A 220″ wall at 1.5mm pitch looks sharp from 7 ft. So picking the right size also means picking the right pitch for the room. The size tables below pair each diagonal with the minimum recommended viewing distance per pitch.

LUMINA Nanolite sizes (15 standard bundles · 116″ – 360″)
Same physical sizing grid as the LUMINA 500 (Nanolite uses 500×500 mm cabinets), but premium cabinet construction with 170°/170° viewing angle, ETL/FCC certification, and premium lamp brands. Available in 1.5mm, 2.6mm, and 3.9mm.
All 15 Nanolite bundle sizes match the 500 series dimensions above (116″ → 360″ diagonal). The difference is cabinet quality, not size. See Nanolite 3.9mm, 2.6mm, and 1.5mm bundles.
LUMINA MicroLED COB sizes (6 bundles · 136″ – 271″)
MicroLED uses Flip-Chip COB (chip-on-board) construction with 0.93mm pixel pitch. The fine pitch enables close-viewing applications (3–8 ft), so the size range stops at 271″ — the application is intimate room rather than billboard.
| Diagonal | Pixel Pitch | Min Viewing Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 136″ | 0.93mm | 3–8 ft |
| 163″ | 0.93mm | 3–8 ft |
| 190″ | 0.93mm | 3–8 ft |
| 217″ | 0.93mm | 3–8 ft |
| 244″ | 0.93mm | 3–8 ft |
| 271″ | 0.93mm | 3–8 ft |

LUMINA All-in-One sizes (2 bundles · 136″ and 162″)
All-in-One is a turnkey touchscreen unit with integrated 0.78mm Quad Pixel COB. Two standard sizes:
| Diagonal | Width × Height (ft) | Width × Height (m) | Min Viewing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 136″ | 9.85′ × 5.55′ | 3.00 × 1.69 | 3–8 ft |
| 162″ | 11.8′ × 6.6′ | 3.6 × 2.0 | 3–8 ft |
How to pick the right size for your room
Three quick rules:
Rule 1: Wall width should fit the room with margin
Plan for at least 12–18 inches of clear wall on each side of the LED wall for proper installation framing and air circulation. If your wall opening is 20 ft wide, the LED wall itself shouldn't exceed ~17 ft (≈ 220″ diagonal at 16:9).
Rule 2: Viewing distance drives pixel pitch (not just size)
You can't decide "I want a 220″ wall" without deciding "from how far back will people look at it." If the front row sits at 7 ft, pick the 1.5mm Nanolite or 500 series. If the closest viewer is 15+ ft, the 4mm 960 series gives the same visual sharpness for less than half the cost.
Rule 3: Match the wall ratio to your content
If you're playing 16:9 video (films, broadcasts, presentations), pick a bundle that's close to 16:9 — most of our standard sizes are. If you're running ultra-wide content (panoramic, multi-screen layouts), a 21:9 or 32:9 wall via custom panel count works. Our engineering team can quote any non-standard aspect ratio.
Custom sizes beyond the standard bundles
The bundles above cover the most common sizes, but the LED panel system is modular — you can build any size from one panel up to multi-thousand panel installations. Custom configurations are priced based on:
- Panel count — base price scales with how many panels you need to cover the area
- Processor sizing — larger walls may need a higher-tier NovaStar controller (see our NovaStar processors guide)
- Cabling and structural — extra hybrid power+data cabling, custom mounting hardware
Note: custom orders are not eligible for returns, refunds, or credits per our returns policy. Pre-order sizing review with our engineering team is recommended.
Common questions
- What's the smallest LED video wall I can buy from SV? ▾
Our smallest standard bundle is 116″ diagonal in the LUMINA 500 and Nanolite series. The smallest 960 series bundle is 136″. For smaller LED walls, the All-in-One touchscreen series also starts at 136″ as a complete unit. Below 116″, an LCD/QLED commercial display is usually a better fit than a custom-built LED video wall.
- What's the largest standard bundle? ▾
360″ diagonal in the LUMINA 500 and Nanolite series (≈24.6 ft × 11.5 ft). The 960 series tops out at 338″, MicroLED COB at 271″. Beyond 360″, you're in custom configuration territory — common for arena scoreboards, stadium displays, and large commercial signage projects.
- Can I get a 21:9 ultra-wide or square LED wall? ▾
Yes — any aspect ratio is buildable because the panels are modular. A 21:9 wall is just a horizontal tiling of more panels wide than tall; a square wall is equal panels in both dimensions. Custom aspect ratios are quoted based on panel count, not standard bundle size. Contact our team with your target aspect ratio and viewing distance.
- Do dimensions include the cabinet frame or just the LED face? ▾
The diagonal and width × height measurements in our tables refer to the active LED display area (the actual pixel surface). The physical cabinet adds a small bezel around the perimeter. For installation framing, add 1–2 inches per side to the active dimensions. Our engineering team provides exact cabinet dimensions in the quote.
- How much does each size weigh? ▾
Weight depends on the line and panel count. Indoor panels run 8.81–62 lbs per panel; outdoor panels run 68 lbs per panel. A 220″ LUMINA 960 wall built from roughly 12 panels lands around 800 lbs total. A 360″ LUMINA 500 wall built from roughly 35 panels lands around 1,800–2,000 lbs total. Exact weight is in each bundle's quote — important for structural and mounting plans.
- What's the difference between 220″ at 4mm and 220″ at 1.5mm in dimensions? ▾
None — the physical dimensions are identical. A 220″ diagonal at 16:9 is always ~15.75′ × 9.45′. What changes is the pixel count inside the same wall: 4mm pitch packs ~6.7× fewer LED dies than 1.5mm in the same area, so the 1.5mm wall has 6.7× more resolution. Same physical size, different sharpness depending on how close viewers sit.
- Can I add panels later to make a wall bigger? ▾
Yes — within the same product line and pixel pitch. If you started with a 169″ LUMINA 960 4mm bundle and want to expand to 220″, add the extra panels needed for that tile count plus check whether your existing NovaStar processor still has enough capacity (most do — see our processors guide). Cross-line expansion (mixing 960 with Nanolite, for example) isn't supported because cabinet alignment differs.
- What's the lead time for non-standard sizes? ▾
Standard bundles ship in 4–7 days from our Humble, Texas warehouse with free continental US shipping. Custom configurations using our standard panel inventory typically ship in the same window. Custom panel configurations not in stock require manufacturer lead time — contact our team for an accurate estimate based on the specific request.
